“Journey to the Soul”
Soul Care Retreat

This 4-day small group retreat is designed for those who are just beginning to understand the landscape and needs of their soul or for those seeking a time of renewal in care of their soul.  Set in the midst of the beautiful Rocky Mountains in Divide, Colorado, this Soul Care event provides for true retreat through “slowing” and rest in the context of beauty. The Journey to the Soul retreat is “lightly” programmed- moving between times for silence and solitude, an offering of information, and personal reflection. “Talks” presented include:

• What is the God-given design of the soul?
• Stages of the Soul Journey
• Living in Biblical Rhythm
• Sabbath-Keeping
• Spiritual Practices as Rhythms of Grace

During the course of the retreat, a one-on-one Spiritual Direction session is offered to every single adult or married couple if they so desire. Each evening, participants engage in a small, same-gender “listening group” to debrief the day’s movements of their souls. Depending on the weather, those who choose may participate in a silent nature walk in beautiful Colorado on Thursday afternoon! 

This adult-only retreat begins with a welcome and opening dinner on Monday evening before concluding on Friday by late morning. The retreat is limited to 14 participants which insures the gentle development of Christ-modeled spiritual community.

Led by Duane and Sandy Hammack of Sacred Journey Ministry, this event is tailored for Pastors, Missionaries, and Christian leaders in the church and market-place.  Hosted by Above All Else at Aspen Ridge in Divide, Colorado, the Journey to the Soul Retreat invites those who participate to begin or return to the ancient paths of quiet, reflective communion with God.
